What is Preston Caribbean Carnival?

The Preston Caribbean Carnival is an annual event celebrating the extravagant and creative Caribbean culture within the city. The celebration features a procession in which people of all ages and communities join together, filling the city with a variety of colors, extravagant costumes, Caribbean music and rhythmic dancing.

Preston Caribbean Carnivals are celebrations that have woven the history of Preston, becoming the largest and longest-running cultural celebration in the city. The celebration has a King and Queen of the Carnival, who are chosen in advance. Also, each year a theme is chosen that will be the focal point of the parade and events.
