In the beginning, carnivals were carried out as a kind of activity that allowed people to detach themselves from everyday life, functioning as a pressure valve for the different social sectors. The parties began to develop their own characteristics with theuse of masks and costumes, which concealed the identity of the person. In this way, people could perform all kinds of actions.
