However, the celebration as it is known today dates back to the 19th century, including the incorporation of the “Musica Araita” which is original music from the town of Fano that was incorporated in 1920. In addition, during the festivities also includes the “Vulón” mask typical of the region and which was incorporated in 1951 and many of the other traditions that are carried out today.

The allegorical floats go around Gramsci Street 3 times, each of these laps has a specific purpose.

The first lap is to make themselves known, to show the floats and their designs; in the second lap is when the Getto happens and they throw sweets and chocolates from the floats and finally in the third and last lap, happens the “luminaria” which is when the lights of the floats are turned on.

These parades are part of a float competition where the winning float will then be selected.

During the carnivals there are small parades dedicated to the little ones, there are also different events organized with different themes, some of them photography competitions.
