What is the Eschweiler Carnival?

The Eschweiler Carnival is a celebration that takes place in the locality of Eschweiler located in the district of Aachen or Aachen, in North Rhine-Westphalia. The Eschweiler carnivals feature one of the longest parades in the Rosenmontag with a participation of about 20 carnival clubs that are still active.

During these carnivals the Jeck costume, which means jester, is widely used, this being one of the most common and traditional costumes of the Fifth Season.
